Myopia Management
Myopia, or nearsightedness, occurs when someone has an elongated cornea that doesn’t focus light properly. This results in blurry vision when trying to see things close by, and if left unmanaged, can leave people at a higher risk for certain eye conditions later in life. Nearsightedness can be corrected with glasses, but at Elite Vision Care, we can go a step further by managing myopia’s progression!
Ortho-K Lenses
We offer Ortho-K lenses, which you wear overnight to gently reshape the cornea as you sleep. This provides clear vision throughout the following day, as the cornea is shaped to focus light properly. But even more than that, this consistent reshaping can also slow or even stop myopia’s progression.
MiSight® Lenses
MiSight® lenses are daily disposable contacts that work like a daytime version of Ortho-K lenses. When worn during the day, MiSight® lenses both correct nearsightedness and reshape the cornea. They have been clinically proven to slow or stop myopia progression in children 8-12 years old.

Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eye disease is when poor tear production causes the eyes to feel dry, itchy, gritty, and even painful. It’s an ongoing condition that requires regular maintenance, but fortunately there are many solutions.
At Elite Vision Care, we often use combinations of treatments that both address the tear production issues at the root of the dry eye and also provide immediate comfort and pain relief. This can include medicated eyedrops, eyelid cleansers, and in-office treatments.

Allergy Treatment
Everyone’s allergy symptoms are unique, so it’s important that your eye doctor treats you as a unique patient. Many symptoms of allergies include dry or itchy eyes, and this can be painful if left unmanaged. Though there isn’t a cure for allergies, we can eliminate symptoms and get you the relief you need.
We custom-tailor allergy treatments to the symptoms we see in front of us. You may need eye drops, medication, or other solutions that can provide relief. An important part of our allergy treatment is that we avoid giving you eye drops or anything that would cause other issues, like dry eye.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a condition where pressure increases within the eye and damages the optic nerve. It’s characterized by loss of sight, starting at the edge of your field of vision and working its way inwards. This damage is permanent, which is why managing it early is so important.
Though there’s no cure, our doctors are experts at using advanced technology, such as top-of-the-line visual field analyzers, to catch glaucoma in its early stages. You’ll also be prescribed glaucoma eye drops as part of a personalized program that can slow glaucoma’s progression.

Macular Degeneration
Age-related macular degeneration, often shortened to AMD, describes when the central, sensitive part of the retina (known as the macula) wears down over time. This is caused by aging, weak blood vessels leaking, or even an eye injury, and is the leading cause of blindness in people over age 50.
The macula is responsible for our central vision, and damage to it can result in permanent vision loss. That’s why we take a proactive approach, looking for early signs of AMD and focusing on preventative treatments, such as macular vitamin supplements, that can slow or even stop its onset.
